Photographs in this series have been captured on the California coast during king tide events. This series started in December 2024. Digital and 35mm.
A king tide is the highest high tide of the year, occurring when the Earth, Moon, and Sun are aligned in a way that maximizes their gravitational pull. These events, also known as perigean spring tides, result in the highest high tide and the lowest low tide of the year to reveal more coastal organisms, shells, and sea life.
